Middlebury's Bailey and UVM's Lindstoel are the first 2022 EISA skiers of the week!

After a successful first carnival, hosted by Colby at Sugarloaf Mountain last Friday and Sunday, two skiers have emerged as the skiers of the week after exemplary performances in both the slalom and GS races. New skiers of the week are calculated based on best overall performance in that week's carnival both the slalom and GS disciplines.

Middlebury senior Lucia Bailey skied into second place in the GS on Friday, and came back on Sunday do it all again and grab second place in the slalom.


UVM junior—and 2020 Rookie of the Year—Joachim Jagge Lindstoel had a similarly symmetrical performance, winning both the GS and slalom races.

This Friday, St. Michael’s hosts the second carnival of the season up at Smuggler’s Notch—stay tuned for race updates and the second set of skiers of the week!
