Ogden and Øvrum are Harvard Carnival Skiers of the Week

After a cold weekend of racing at the Harvard Carnival in Craftsbury, Vermont, Dartmouth junior Katherine Ogden and UVM sophomore Matias Øvrum have earned EISA Skiers of the Week honors.

Ogden, a native of Landgrove, Vermont, finished second in the 5k skate on Friday, missing out on the victory by just 1.4 seconds. On Saturday, she returned with a vengeance, storming off the front of the women's field after just 2k and soloing to a 19 second victory.

Øvrum, originally from Norway, also began the weekend with a second place finish in the 10k skate. On Saturday, he picked up his first career carnival victory in the 20k classic mass start, outlunging Harvard's Rémi Drolet in a thrilling photo finish.
