The Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association announces the week one alpine skiers of the week after two days of superb racing at Sunday River for the Bates Carnival.
Magnus Styren, reigning Rookie of the Year from the University of Vermont, takes the men's honors after a sixth-place finish in the GS and a second-place finish in the Slalom.
Hedda Martelleur from the University of New Hampshire takes the women's honors with two podiums. She tied for third in the GS before backing it up with a second in the Slalom.
Both skiers will look to build on their performances and secure spots for the NCAA Championship next week at the Saint Lawrence Carnival.
