The Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association announces the week five Alpine Skiers of the Week after the Middlebury Carnival at the Middlebury Snowbowl.
The top male and female skier are chosen each week with no skier being named Athlete of the Week more than once per year, except for regional championships. Athletes are determined by combining the place results from the weekend with the lowest total winning.
Kjersti Moritz from Middlebury takes the women's honors in only her second collegiate race after finishing second in the Slalom and winning the GS.
Fellow Panther Nicholas Unkovskoy takes the men's honors with a ninth place finish in the Slalom and a seasons best second place finish in the GS.
Both racers will be looking to keep the momentum going next weekend at the NCAA Regionals hosted by the University of New Hampshire.
